Terms & Conditions — Unanime
These terms and conditions apply to the Unanime app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Frédéric Dinand (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service.
Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application. Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to the Application — including the text of every question — remain the property of the Service Provider.
Age and Content
The Application is a party game written for an adult audience. Some question packs are explicitly marked as reserved for consenting adults and contain sexual or intimate themes. By unlocking and playing those packs you confirm that you are of legal age in your country and that every player at the table plays willingly.
The questions are conversation prompts, nothing more. They are not advice of any kind — medical, legal, psychological or otherwise. The Service Provider is not responsible for what players choose to reveal, or for the consequences of any conversation the Application may start.
Free Content and Paid Content
The ORIGINAL pack is complete and free, permanently, and requires no purchase. The other question packs, and the game modes added later, are unlocked by an optional purchase.
Subscriptions and One-Time Purchase
The Application offers Unanime Pro, which unlocks every question pack and the modes added later, in three forms:
- A weekly subscription, preceded by a 3-day free trial for new subscribers
- A monthly subscription
- A one-time purchase, unlocking everything permanently
The exact price in your local currency is always displayed in the Application before you confirm, and it is the price that applies.
Subscriptions renew automatically. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews at the same price for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours preceding the end of the current period.
If you take the free trial and do not cancel it at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts into a paid weekly subscription automatically. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. The free trial is available once only.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in the settings of your Apple or Google account. Uninstalling the Application does not cancel a subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, not by the Service Provider. Refunds are therefore governed by their policies and must be requested from them. The Service Provider has no power to issue a refund on your behalf.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Terms and Conditions:
Terms Specific to the Apple App Store
These terms are an agreement between you and the Service Provider alone, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Application or its content.
The licence granted to you is a non-transferable licence to use the Application on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
The Service Provider is solely responsible for maintenance and support, and for any claim relating to the Application — including product liability, a failure to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, a claim arising under consumer protection law, and any claim that the Application infringes a third party's intellectual property rights. Apple has no obligation whatsoever in those respects. Should the Application fail to conform to any warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the Application to you; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
The Application stores and processes data on your device in order to provide the Service. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your phone and access to the Application. The Service Provider strongly advises against jailbreaking or rooting your phone, which involves removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. Such actions could expose your phone to malware, viruses and malicious programs, compromise your phone's security features, and may result in the Application not functioning correctly or at all.
Please be aware that the Service Provider does not assume responsibility for certain aspects. A game can be played without an internet connection, but confirming a purchase or restoring one requires it. The Service Provider cannot be held responsible if those functions are unavailable due to lack of access to Wi-Fi or if you have exhausted your data allowance. If you are using the Application outside of a Wi-Fi area, your mobile network provider's agreement terms still apply, and you accept responsibility for any resulting charges, including roaming data charges.
Similarly, the Service Provider cannot always assume responsibility for your usage of the Application. It is your responsibility to ensure that your device remains charged. If your device runs out of battery and you are unable to access the Service, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible.
The Service Provider may wish to update the Application at some point. You will need to download the updates if you want to continue using the Application. The Service Provider does not guarantee that it will always update the Application so that it is relevant to you and/or compatible with the particular operating system version installed on your device. The Service Provider may also wish to cease providing the Application and may terminate its use at any time without providing termination notice to you. In that event, any subscription then in force will not be renewed.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update their Terms and Conditions. Therefore, you are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms and Conditions on this page.
These terms and conditions are effective as of 2026-08-10.
